Project Notes: LSM Confetti Hearts Quilt

This quilt was made by Erin Grogan. In “Confetti Hearts” the quilting theme was matched to the personality of its recipient. A tiny, adorable birthday girl turning 5 years old was the PERFECT person to appreciate wavy, happy hearts! We went with a matte, natural white thread to blend into the background fabrics, so that it would not compete or distract from those cheerful, vibrant Tula Pink colors. The waves lend a sense of motion, so the hearts really dance, almost as much as their owner! The scale of the panto design was set to fit inside the larger fabric hearts, and to keep the quilting nice and squishy to really cuddle up in her newest quilt gift.
